Additionally, users can set up smart reorders through dash replenishment to ensure they always have replacement batteries when needed.

Before installation, it is important to measure the door's backset, cross bore, and thickness to ensure the right fit. The August Smart Lock can be installed in under 10 minutes using just a screwdriver, and it allows users to keep their existing lock and keys. It simply attaches to the existing deadbolt on the inside of the door.

One of the key features of the August Smart Lock is the ability to grant family, friends, or the dog walker unlimited access or limit it for a specific duration, such as a few weeks, hours, or minutes. Only the August smart lock has the Door Sense feature, which tells users if the door is securely closed or left open.

The August Smart Lock also offers the convenience of automatic unlocking as the user arrives, eliminating the need to fumble for keys, shopping bags, or kids when unlocking the door. The Auto Lock feature can be timed to lock the door as it closes. The device requires 110 to 240 volts to operate.
